Coverage
What Choiceguard covers — and what sets us apart.
Most home warranties lock you into their contractors, charge hidden fees, and bury exclusions in 40 pages of fine print. Choiceguard does none of that. Here's exactly what you're protected against — and the three things that make us genuinely different.
Priced to be affordable
Plans start at $37/mo — well below the industry average of $65/mo. No enrollment fees, no hidden charges. Multi-year terms save you even more.
You choose what's covered
Pick only the appliances and systems that matter to your home. You're never forced into a one-size-fits-all bundle — build coverage around your life.
Use your own service provider
Call the contractor you already trust. Choiceguard reimburses you quickly. Most home warranty companies prohibit this entirely — we make it standard.
What does a Choiceguard home warranty cover?
A Choiceguard home warranty covers repair and replacement costs for major home systems and appliances that break down from normal wear and tear. Unlike homeowners insurance — which covers sudden damage from storms or accidents — a home warranty covers the everyday failures that happen as your home ages. Below is a full breakdown of what's covered, with per-item limits based on your plan tier.
Heating & Cooling
Electrical & Plumbing
Kitchen Appliances
Laundry & Household
Use the contractor you already trust.
When something breaks, you shouldn't be forced to wait for a stranger from a warranty company's approved list. With Choiceguard, you call your own licensed plumber, electrician, or HVAC technician — the one your neighbor recommended, or the one you've used for years. Submit the invoice and we reimburse you quickly. No locked-in networks, no runaround. This is standard with every Choiceguard plan, and something almost no other home warranty company offers.
Unique to ChoiceguardWhat's not covered
Coverage applies only to items listed on your Declaration of Coverage. The following are explicitly excluded from all plans:
A 30-day wait period applies from your plan effective date before your first claim. Storm and flood damage is a homeowners insurance matter, not a warranty matter.
